went to Snetterton yesterday and met an old mate of mine who used to help with my engines when I raced.

Fettling an 06 R6 for the stocksport class he dropped a valve collet under the fridge.

The valve collet, to this day remains somewhere in the vicinity of where it fell - a thorough search revealed nothing.

An 06 R6 collet was ordered. Walking out of the shop after collecting it, he took a cursory glance at the packet....the part number began with ....1WG...!
Being a walking encyclopedia of Yamaha race engines for the last 20 years, he knew what it was straight away!

We were talking about hybrid fizzers when he told me this, nice story I thought!

also - met Thunderbike Steve, lovely chap - but I won't steal his thunder (sic) I'll let him tell you about his weekend, let's just say Fuel pumps are over-rated!
