They used to go for about 1200 ... when a decent RR was about 1000, but the RR's are cheaper now that's the red and white model though.

The pink and blue cocktail colours are rare and the last very good one on the bay made about £2k. The later dark blue and red .... well if you can find one you'll be very very lucky. These must have the the flatside carbs otherwise the value is wiped down to the red model values

just got back from viewing bike, its a 1992 but it is the tiger stripe (1994) model

if it is 92, should it not be this colour. v

anyway, good wee bike, it runs a bit flat around 5k revs, but flies, might need set.

WANTED. MIRRORS FOR 3TJ MODEL (OR) ALTERNATIVE mirrors that fits
and possible screen,

And I need a paint code for the model below (ANY IDEAS) just the pearlised white, everything else is ok.
but if sticker kit is available, would purchase it now

Does the one you looked at run flatside carbs ... and check the frame number to the year on Rampant's site. It could have had a bodykit put on it at some stage ... if so it might have been a trackbike reskined so you need to know what your getting into, that may explain the flatspot too.

Yours is an official import and would have a MPH speedo (?) if so it has no speed restriction .... and probablably CV carbs. It's a nice bike with history (and th s/steel downpipes, so it should sell higher than the usual value ... but it will depend on what people want to pay and of course you really want to avoid selling to be a trackbike.

I have a tj2 that I think someone on here put together (anyone from Pontefract? its a credit to whoever built it). Also a 6. if you need a sticker kit to put it back to a 6 snittle over at rgv250.co.uk has done a full kit that is absolutely spot on (he does various rgv kits for next to nowt) and I'm sure he'd be more than surprised to flog another 400 kit! ;) He's also done a tail kit for my tj2, and I can't recommend him highly enough

ahh matt you little star!

your creation made me so happy I bought another!

I got the tail redone as (and I really hate to admit this) the pilliock that helped me pick it up couldn't use a ratchet strap and I trusted him when he said 'yeah mate, trust me....'

repainted, restickered looks the mutts. seriously, its a credit to you mate.

did you get another ?

thanks, it really was a lovely little bike that. i did spend a lot of time and effort getting it that good. shouldnt need a spanner taking to it for ages as everything was new. the shock and can thats on it at the mo are actually off the 1990 team loctite yamaha tt bike rode by one of the jeffries. i swaped it when it passed through my hands as the one you have now had an after market can and i wanted it standard. shock was cleaner as well. must admit i was very sorry to see it go as it is the best one ive ever ridden. so precise and crisp, rides like new. i bought an sp with a damaged engine and put a thundercat engine in it. faster by far but lacks the finnesse and feel of the 400. my bro's just got a 400sp so atleast i can play on that. i kept that bike so clean, which was the main reason i sold it! every time i went out on it it rained!!!!!!!!!
