Try a wanted ad in the classifieds section, you might be surprised at what will turn up.

The nut size can really be anything you want. Certainly a 46mm is perfectly possible. It just restricts the inside diameter which will be somewhere around 36mm in this case. It makes no functional difference.
This mod isn’t really for function, more for appearance, so for myself I was after the nice looks of a bi-hex and wanted the the “big axle” look. It also helped that I already had a 55mm bi-hex socket from the Ducati race bike.
I don’t think it will make much difference in price, if any, whatever size nut you (and others) want. How about if I offer two versions:
1. One as is with that sexy 55mm big-axle bi-hex look! LOL
2. The plain 46mm nut.
So - what do we want? Can you all be arsed with buying a new 55mm socket for the bi hex look? They are about £15 on the bay.
I am easy, new sockets are cool and it would look the part eh?

I'd kind of like the standard size, so really it's only a selected few that knows what's happening back there!
I have 2 hubs that'll need doing, I think DM had first dibs on the 2nd one.

lol, so that is 1 of each..
IIRC the price, all in, was looking like £100 ish, lower for more volume.
I kind of prefer the bigger socket, just to make sure we have a lighter setup and it looks more different to std.
We'll see how it goes. I can spare my racebike axle and throw no9 axle out too. Weight loss is good.
