I like the abba stand. Think i'm gonna need one when I do the rear spring on mine. Are those FZR6 fittings on it?

There aren't any fittings on it - I plug it in and go ... I've got some though.
Why not pop over fitting a shock won't take that long, you can grease up the linkages too.

Had a bit of a mess about with the bike yesterday.
I used some G4 to cut back the raer panels and tagged them on with a ziptie ( weight saving

)
Fitted up a sidestand cut out switch
I had one of the EXUP cables recored and used a bolt on nipple at the exhaust end. I could have gone to a bicycle shop but sent it off to Venhill so I know it's done propper. I need to set the EXUP but that can wait till I get the engine going. I also had to route the EXUP cables, hope they're right they don't seem pinched .... and of course that meant rerouting the servo wiring.
Started to put the carbs on but they've been off for a while and will need some more wiggling to get them to sit right.
It could do with a set of exhaust manifold nuts .... It came with a couple of them but six were missing. They're long flange nuts but not available from Boltmeup or other stockists. i've used some long nuts but the I had a look about on the web, cheapest I could find were in the US at 95 cents each (57p) a full set and post came to just under £15.

The carbs were being a pain to get on, so I tried a bit of lube, after a lot of pushing they went in
Then I had a power tool job. I needed to grind down the old ally weld where the chain guard bracket was. Next I'll make a new bracket and get another guard, then I can put the chain on.
Today I attached the battery from my TJ and found most things work - there's no indicators so I suspect a wire comming out of the switch or maybe at the flasher unit. The exup servo is acting up so that needs checking out.
Yup I tried to start it but no joy .... all the carbs have petrol leaking from them so I'll drag them off the bike and renew the float chamber gaskets ... after that I'll give it another try.

A bit of a result - I opened up the airbox to clean it and found a posh filter there, it fits nicely too
I've done a bit of chasing to find out exactly what it is for you guys and it turns up to be a BMC FM174/07 It's the filter they make for the FZR600 but without the two (top and bottom) rubber rings. I'm trying to find a retailer but it's an older filter and most people stock from the R6 onwards
I'm told theses are no longer available
