Right, the castrol WSB bike was used a spare bike, it is now in S-A indeed. I met him yesterday and he told me he really regrets this sale as he now has all the missing rare RC kit bits (ECU, looms, carbs, etc.) that "missed" on that WSB bike. Maybe in the future the current owner may consider selling the WSB castrol RC back to him and fly/transport it back to here.

If anyone is looking for the rare gsxr400R SP's, let me know. I have seen 2 of these in his private loft that will be sold this year (another one in pristine condition stays in his collection). Also couple of ZXR400's, RG's, KR1S, VJ22's and one NC35. Next to multiple dutch superbikes/superstock racers (1198,fireblades, R1's) that sits in his general loft, he is now restoring another RC30. I have never ever seen sooooo many boxes/crates pilled up with new NOS rc30 stock and kit parts! The guy is a real enthusiastic when it comes to the rc30/45's and yammie owo's (one owo2 brand new never ridden  , the 2nd owo2 is now sold and goes to Italy next month). It will be replaced by a ultralow milleage owo1 awaiting for transit from Japan.

Ohh blimey, did I the honda-dream?? :weed:

Small update...end of last week I received my full Nc35 kit from Tyga directly, it got stung here at arrival at customs as I already expected, but got it quite smooth passed them for little duties (thanks Paul from Tyga ;) ) Quality is very nice! Glad that I went for this kit.

Now need to find some time to get it fitted on the project bike. Also, awaiting for some bits from Rick Oliver, hopefully here before end of this week. Too bad the weather forecasts overhere will be worse after today...getting colder and showers :( I will post some pics of it as soon as I can get going.

Today I went "shopping" for a new air compressor and air tools (impactdriver, wrench, etc.) but the noise (+95dB and 3000 rpm, single cylinder + oil) of the one (360/50/10bar) I had my mind on just puts me off (I do want a more silent one). At the tools shop I also tested a 340/90/8bar with belt driven twin cylinders+oil with just max 1500rpm and recorded noise level at max 80 dB. But that is for me over my budget. Nothing bought yet..backfome for more homework first.

Good to hear the bodywork arrived safely jason. With regards to compressors don't pay too much attention to the bar rating but more so the CFM rating, the higher the better. Mine is loud but I have it in box to reduce the noise you just have to watch it doesn't get too hot but if you're only running air tools off it it isn't going to be running all the time so not really a issue.
If noise really is a issue you might want to look at a ex dental surgery compressor as there very quiet and can sometime be had very cheaply.

Thx, Tony. Bodykit still partially boxed due to time issues atm.

You are right about not to focus too much on the bar pressure maximum but more on the air output cfm. And for me also the noise level dB, but a lot of people do "box it" but my space is limited and I just do not want to have angry neighbours.

Here compressors are shown in xxx litres/minute output. Quick search on the net tells me for let's say an air 1" impact driver needs avg 12cfm, air 1" wrench 10cfm, and a disc 7" grinder 5-8cfm. I recalculated the ones I saw today into cfm and I came up with either maximum 12.7cfm or 9.53cfm versions of compressors.

There are special compressors on the market such as SuperSilent that have noise level reduction to around 53-60dB only.
More common brands here are Airpress, Roda, Shamal, Güde, Creemers, HBM. Need to rethink my options.

Okay, after celebrating orange Queensday and a few beers in the lovely sun I decided to take the plunge...and bought myself a HL340/90 one of airpress (approx.max.12.7cfm) and a couple of air tools including an heavy 560Nm impactdriver. First impression, very good, max.noise at 78~80 dB, full air tank ready in 3 minutes. Now to find more time to get going.

Just finished rebuilding the rvf carbs on my 1st NC35, I had it for nearly 2.5 years in my living room. Yesterday morning I found some time so I rolled it outside and it did start after few attempts. Yippiekayee! 8-) The carbs had a ultrasonic clean last year and new 112.5 all around, 1 shim under needle, hrc springs. But my happiness was short yesterday.....it was leaking at the known float chambers :( I knew this was coming...so tonight rebuilding it with all new genuine honda carb rubbers that I had in the spare parts box. My gf was shock'd when she noticed the price tag of a mere 25 euro per carb. Oops! Will start it tommorrow and if the weather is good my first spin in years :sshh:

If it stays dry, then I'll try to get some updated pics of this bike.

No luck yet...very bad/rainy weather conditions in the past couple of days and little time due to shortened week at work (due to bank holiday).

Okay....today I finally got time to get the leather saddle back up on this RR horse and get my boots on and take her out for a spin after a mere 2.5 years long winter sleep/stand still in my living room. She is now officially been awake from the land of the long sleepers and back to life

Before this long waited moment I did make some adjustments to the carbs settings and I also changed all the carb rubbers with all new genuine honda kit as I already knew from previous inspection after ultrasonic cleaning. Also, added a few new parts like new carb rubbers, new hrc springs, new vacuum hose (thanks to Rick O) and few other nice bits.

She did not start immediately, at my first attempt and the fuel was pissing out (after inspection I had the float chamber gasket of #2 carb possible not correct seated), so performed a quick overhaul (30-35 min off and on including the bodykit), and problem solved (I used little grease to get this gasket #2 in the right position during installation so I knew it was now proper seated).

Second attempt and she started after 3 little pushes on the start button...wow I really missed that V4 sp1 sound! 8-)
Best of all...no issues anymore with the new carb set-up.

The pick-up from low regions rpm is now much better (RR carbs had previously keihin #116 jets, now #112.5 dynojets which should be equivalent to #114 Keihin's, hrc springs, and back to standard needles, not dynojet, with 0.5 shims), there is no dip at low speed cornering in 1st or 2nd gear, and the midrange all the way to top speed is perfect! I hope that the new kms per litre has improved to a much better economical range compared to the old carb set-up that only had at maximum 16 kms per litre

Here ya go (with my hugh smile behind the camera/helmet  )
