I did mean it to be tongue in cheek (no harm meant honest) I am more than happy to come along to a dyno day at your place. At the end of the day it is a bit of fun and get to meet like minded people.

Hi Kev,

Yeah, once you start playing with stuff to make it better, the list seems to go on forever! and costs more and more! There is always something else that needs upgrading to make the most of other modifications. My 400 is like this - i think its still called work in progress! - Luckily its not my only bike and i have a car as well.

Yes I agree there may be a vast amount of people with a lot of knowledge about nc30s on this forum but a lot of the posts were made by spotty faced students or pen pushers with the mechanical ability of my 8yr old daughter, who probably have trouble wiping there own arse without a Haynes manual
I don't think the hamster is that bad is he? Agreed the main issue with his bike was electrical rather than fuelling but trying to track down electrical faults is always a nightmare.

From what i can see, I dont think anyone has been particularly bad mannered to the hamster, its personal opinion about a dyno and its a fair point about supporting people that have been good to the 400 community.

Cheers

Ian

tbf I dont think it was ever meant to be an attack on Hamster or you, its just BMC have done a similar thing in the past that went very well, Mark has been racing for BMC this year and so no's they setup very top notch v4 400, and they are quite active on this forum so people feel a bit happier giving business to a fellow forum member.

Similar to why people tend go through Graeme France and Rick O for parts they can also get elsewere, becasue they support the forum and frequently help people with problems

Although I do get the idea of the dyno day is to compair similar bikes to hamsters on the same dyno, otherwise its useless in helping anyone end this thread

was that meant to be a dig at me? cos I think im the only student thats posted in this thread. go through this thread and read any and all of my posts, in no way was I ever critical of Hamster, his bike, your company or any work you did, so go :sex: yourself

also this thread is one of the best going, we just need LP to get involved and it would be perfect :pmsl: lol

Hamster know's a good place for this
maybe not in this thread spike but i know a sarcastic comment when i see one so go:sex:

i get your point about BMC helping out on the forum, and yes they have a very good reputation for tuning bikes , but it was the way people hijacked hamsters dyno day thread .

and yes its a cracking thread,i bet most people are pissing blood by now .
ps , i wouldnt have made a sarcastic dig at students if i knew you were one ,we dont do things like that do we . :peace:

mine made 101 at the back wheel at steve's in ellesmere port, then only made around 97 on chris's and mines totaly standard.
Ah sorry thats the RC :poke:
Seriously i bet i have one of the slowest NC's out there, allsorts of attempts and permutations, and while on paper it looks and a clean curve, my arse dyno tells me its shite compared to my old import NC30. maybe after all these years on bigger stuff messes with yuor head, could understand it if i had given up 400 ownership for any period though :?:

spike i never said it was you , i said member .
but seriously , if any of the bikes are running shite on the day and need re jetting, if you are handy with the tools i will supply a tool kit for you guys on the day ,so if you or who ever wants to do the donkey work on their bike, they can have a very cheap carb set up or try what they want at £10 a run after they have all been on . i am here all day on a saturday any way so if it takes all day its no problem .hamster is a demon at taking nc carbs off so if he wants to help out i will sort him out with a drink now i cant be fairer than that .

i have nothing against students, my future and englands is in your hands :scare:
