Hi. Can somebody help ID this system on a NC35. It sounds mint but is causing havoc with my jetting (ever since I bought the bike). The system is actually smaller than stock I think (4.5cm), the end can is getting a bit old but being smaller is another headache if I want to replace the silencer. Note how the bottom of the fairing was cut to accommodate this system...

Cheers all

From those pics id say the system is a sansei and the end can ethos possibly, whats the problem with the jetting? It should run fine on the same jetting as any other half system.

Thanks for looking at it Drunkn Munky. I don't want to tie up the Exhaust thread with my carb issues so if my current carb overhaul doesn't work I'll post something in the workshop forum. Out of interest though why would you replace the stock system with something smaller? And what are my mounting options in buying a bigger silencer (as everything seems to be a standard 2" vs this system which would be around .5cm too small).

I only have this pic at the moment, as i dont have time to take the fairing off.
The rear downpipes shown in the pic go into a Y piece that curves round to almost the back of the sump. the front downpipes also join into this collector with a Y piece that is directly below the sump.
I'll get some more pics over the weekend. It may be a one off (home made) but it is well put together.

It looks like 3/4 system as the front downpipe are shorter than standard. But it is possible the front pipes have been cut down.

Any ideas??
The endcan is unbranded and as the exhaust has spring eyes for an end can i assume its not original to the exhaust

Cheers

My 1992 NC30 has an aftermarket LeoVince silencer. Great sound but the jetting is bad, the mix is bad, too much gas between 5.000 and 6.000 rpm. So I bought a Dyno test to get the carb jetted but the guy told me it's impossible for him to jet correct since the silencer doesn't fit the flow.. Is this really true? Do you have any ideas? Should I find a used stock silencer (I don't have one) or buy another aftermarket silencer? Thanks!

Your silencer doesnt fit the flow??? Sounds like your dyno guy doesnt want to do it hence fobbing you off. If your confident pull the carbs off yourself or dind another dyno guy
