I'm guessing you were connetcing the pulse sense coil to the negative coil wire? Thought you had it running? It prob will work but maybe you need a bit more patients and electrical knowledge to get it to work, as cheap stuff isnt usually plug and play like the expensive ones.
Have fun.

no it was running fine untill i connected it to the primary coil wire... i may have connected it to the negative one actually.. that sounds about right. i didnt check properly which one was which till after.. i had a quick glance at the wires before, and one was Yellow/black and other Yellow/blue, it was a little dark in the garage so i must have confused it and connected it to yellow/black....
anyway. after trying to get it working and cranking a lot, i took my plugs out and they are soak in oil, it was all dark colored. now i just came back from the garage, i torched them and got rid of oil/petrol on the plugs, but ive not tried them yet, i wont until tomorrow, il give it some time for the fuel to evaporate in the cylinder chambers.
so fingers crossed it will work tomorrow, and i can get it MOT'd

Why not fit the originals to get the bike mot'd then you have a bike you can use on the road and you can spend as much time getting the new to work without rushing?

My offer is now £400 + Haribo's.
You need to be very careful with electronics, it's very easy to fuck something up like a CDI. Label everything, get a paper pad + pen and write down every wire and what it does. Get a light up screwdriver + continuity tester and figure out what's going where. It's a lot easier to work on when you know what everything does and you have a mental wire-map in your head.

guys, so i reverted back to the stock clock and all, but i am having serious trouble getting to bike to fire up now.
ever since connecting the rpm wire to the negative primary coil by accident, the bike has started only once, and never again after that. how ever, the coils show the correct primary and secondary resistances. and there is good spark. the bike cranks and crank but it doesnt catch on, in fact it doesnt even sound like its going to, like you know how it caughs up before firing.. well that doesnt even happen, its just not igniting. i removed the plugs, and the first time, it was covered in oil. i torched those plugs, and it worked. came the next day, it did not work, battery drained. so i took the plugs out, and the plugs were wet with petrol, but it wasnt tooo much. i torched them again.
i charged the battery, tried it today, and nothing..... still the same shit.
any advice, on how to get this started, what sort of faults could the rpm wire connected on to negative primary coil cause?

yes, i am highly temped to buy a new battery and plugs. do you think that CDI would be damaged at all from connecting the RPM to negative primary coil?

Battery.
It seems to be the root of all problems, you leave it out side, hardly ride it, and its never "perminantly" on a battery optimiser this is a recipe for a short life in a battery,
Besides your always fucking about cranking, testing lights etc so the battery will have taken the brunt of this.
