UPDATE

Ok chaps, this is looking like it's going to work out at £190 a wheel delivered to mainland UK.
Now we have estimated on customs charges and other things too, so it may actually work out a bit cheaper - but we wont know until they actually land. It goes without saying the £190 is worst case scenario for a wheel posted to the UK, and possibly cheaper if we can pass these savings on.

Liam will be along to add more if i have missed anything.

So who's still in ? if this thread goes quiet as i very much suspect it will (as i reckon everyone was hoping for a £100 wheel) then it's unlikely the order will proceed.

However if people are still keen, we will lock this and start a new thread, where we can keep it clean from the "can i have one in red and 5.5 inch please" comments and deposits can be taken.

@Yakama, @Paul, how will this work out for postage to me across the channel on the mainland for let's say one or two rear wheels? I'd like to be sure on the numbers I need to calculate with. Thx guys!

Any idea on lead time?

As for customs, it's pretty simple. If these wheels are coming from within the EU, there'll be nothing. If they are coming from outside, then assuming the seller declares the true value on the consignment, you add 3.7% to the total cost of the goods, insurance and shipping to get the VATable value, then add 20% VAT. So if you buy £2000 of wheels, and they cost £250 to ship and £25 insurance, you have £2275+3.7%=£2359.18, plus VAT@20%= £2831.01 in total. Of course, if the seller fudges the customs forms, then that's a different matter, although if they go silly it could cause delays if they investigate why a dozen motorcycle wheels have an alleged value of £25.... lol
