Sorry, missed you last post while writing my last reply. Not sure what you mean by clutch switch issue, what specifically happened to get your attention.

I'll go take a closer look and post up piccies, but I think I can see a connection poking out of the black wire cover stuff.

Clutch switch only affects starting. Safe to start is determined by the neutral switch and clutch switch. No clutch switch should mean cannot start in gear. Limited quantity of hot air at the carby intake at high rpm and high engine load will have an effect.

That makes sense, but I'll take a look and tidy up anyway while I'm ripping the front end apart to fit this engine flap.

The flap is a pain to fit even with the OEM radiator, I will be surprised if it fits with your higher one. If not, then make something out of plastic or cardboard, just to direct the air over the radiator and not through it.

Right so I've got the flap in place, just want to check I've put it in right before I bolt everything back together.

FUCKING YES!!!!!!
The rubber flap fixed it :D
Kinda new even as I was going through town to get to where I could give it some stick, the power delivery felt better and sharper.
So when I gave it some stick, it went like stink like it should :D
