Started cleaning up a yamamoto half system I have with a brass wheel and discovered cracks in the webbing between the pipes some running over the welds . Going to take it into a local guy who does stainless fab on car systems for repair would it be worthwhile getting him to weld spring hooks on whilst undertaking repairs on the front pipes to allow for any heat expansion movement I'm guessing that's how these systems crack being of a light gauge?

What value does a full Tyga system - stainless pipework with carbon silencer - carry?

That does look like a yamamoto to me...for sure the left foot protection plate is welded later on. The lower plate for stabilization is on more often found on yamamoto systems. The sections before y-piece are fairly straight and slight longer parallel. The welding on the y-piece are not perfect (weld lines are not straight)...maybe sometime in its life had a repair welding? Not to sure about the spring hooks either. To me it shows that these welds are done by hand and not by a automatic machine/robot. I believe that the output pipe of the y-piece should be a bit longer as a high mounted version...it looks part of a high mounted version and that it has been butchered.
Have you test fitted it on one of your bikes yet?

Just got hold of another system and i have a rough idea what it might be but comparing it to other photo's is difficult.
Any experts ID this for me? Mild steel and fully sprung:
Soon to be fitted to my racebike if i can find a can for it and no the JHA isnt for sale now
Edit: Internal dimension on downpipes 32mm
External dimension for end can 50mm if any of that helps.

I would hazard a guess that it's a genuine HRC system. I had one on a racebike, still have a couple of spare pieces for it. Need some side on pics of the last 2 sections (as it site on the bike) to verify.
There are not many mild steel full systems out there.

Happy days, i had a suspicion it was a HRC system after looking at a few photo's including the ones of yours. Once it arrives i will post up some better pics to make sure it is genuine.
Do you know of any other manufactueres who made mild steel systems? The only one i can think of is Laser Jama and i thought they only made half's.
Proper pleased that i got this if it is infact a genuine HRC system, what sort of horsepower did your racebike make with one fitted Cam?

My RVF came with a rusty old mild steel system that looks remarkably like that one, fully sprung etc. I replaced it with a shiny stainless steel TYGA system.
It is sitting in a box under my bench... if its HRC it is sure going to waste down there!
Perhaps I should make it available to other Aussies who might like to restore it?
Ben.

I can't think of any, though some odd systems probably show up now and then.
I had a laser half system, it was incredibly loud but performed pretty well.

Hi Cam,
As you wish-
Any ideas what it is? The end can is just a piece of junk apparently rescued from a CBR250RR.
Cheers,
Ben.
