Yes - going rich in the midrange and then again up top - hows your airfilter? A new one might see the extra air in there and improve your power..at the rear wheel ;)

to add to the pot, Dyno pro readouts can be up to 10bhp lower than a dyno jet readout for the same bike.......dont know why??

To ask the question - What did mr Dyno man have to say about it?

Did he say, yes, this is a crankshaft figure and I worked it out using x formula?

Your defensive attitude adn "I am right" assertions are all cool..but the vast majority of knowledgeable opinion on here is that your bike is running too rich and has a lower than expected rear wheel power output.

125+ jets on a standard bike, std filter and airbox = no power. You need the air in there to make power....

So - What correction figure did Mr Dyno use and how does he come about it?
Does he take into account tyre pressures, chain adjustment and wear?
Did you get a through the gears readout too or was it only 4th gear roll on?

If you want people to believe then give us the facts. I am not comfortable taking my bike to a guy that thikns making it richer than richie rich is a good thing for an engine. It may feel smoother to you..but it is still not right.

Just thought I would post an Email Response from MR Dyno as you seem to be calling him:
1 .THE AIR TO FUEL RATIO IS A GUIDE
2..SOME ENGINES DO NOT PRODUCE BEST POWER AT THE MAGICAL CORRECT AIR TO FUEL RATIO. OLD DESIGN INEFFICIENT ENGINES LIKE THE NC30 DO NOT BURN THE FUEL LIKE A MODERN FUEL INJECTION ENGINES, ITS CALLED TECHNOLOGY
3. A GOOD DYNO OPERATOR WILL TUNE FOR ENGINE RESPONSE AND POWER NOT AFR
4. HONDA'S QUOTED BHP FIGURES ARE AT THE CRANK ,
5. IF HONDA'S BHP FIGURES ARE FOR REAR WHEEL BHP, WHY ARE MOST PEOPLE GETTING 59 60 BHP AT THE WHEEL AFTER FITTING TUNING PARTS EG EXHAUSTS ,FILTERS ETC ???
6. DYNA PRO LOAD CONTROL DYNOS ARE VERY ACCURATE AND DO NOT GIVE LOW READINGS.
7. SINCE WHEN IS A BETTER POWER CURVE AND SMOOTHER NOT RIGHT ??
8. CMSMJ1 ISN'T COMFORTABLE WITH HAVING A DYNO RUN ?? IM NOT GOING TO STRIP YOUR BIKE DOWN INTO BITS,OR THROW BIG JETS IN TO GET YOUR POWER DOWN , ITS ONLY A POWER RUN, NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS JUST TO SORT OUT THE BILLY BULLSHITTERS AND GIVE EVERY ONE A GOOD COMPARISON OF THEIR BIKE TO OTHERS ON THE SAME DYNO , BUT YOU WILL ONLY FIND OUT IF YOU COME !!
9.HOW MANY OF THE VAST MAJORITY OF KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE HAVE THEIR OWN DYNO IN THERE BACK GARDEN TO TEST WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN'T .
10 . THE DYNO DAY WILL BE GOOD FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT A RIDE OUT MEET UP AND TO HAVE A BIT OF BANTER ON THE DAY WITH LIKE MINDED PEOPLE AND PERSONALLY I DON'T GIVE A SHIT IF NONE THE HRC TRAINED TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM CAME TO STAND AROUND TALKING OUT OF THEIR F*****G ARSES .
11. A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE IS A DANGEROUS THING .

About bloody time to!!!

Superb.. so is his figure at the crank or not? What was the correction ratio? I don't believe a healthy NC an get such a crappy result!
I was not going to argue the toss via a forum but s couple of obvious points spring to mind (but I got carried away..)

1: air fuel ratio is a known quantity. Aiming for efficiency is a good call.
2: would like to see info about that - a million other dyno operators cannot be wrong..
3: fair point, well made
4: Was this bike measured at the crank? if not, what correction ration are you using?
5: My bike has gone through many changes since I got it, bog std 5 years ago. It made 61.4 first time on a dyno..then 57, then 59 - it now runs open airbox, race syetem etc - lovely fuelling on RVF carbs with 130 mains. a/f is bob on..
6: a readin is a snapshot of the time - you can apply corection factors to them can't you
7: good point - but surely it can be better? That bike was fooked so anything was better than the symptoms that were described..
8: Am happy with a dyno run -happier when I know the operator has a lot of experience of the bikes. If the dates are good for me I'll be down..I am big boy, don't get worried by comedy forum arguments!
9: I want a dyno...lol
10: now then, is that you Dave
11: ipse dixit

christ take it easy mate, not everyone is out to get you and its not always a fight over who's right and who's wrong

If I was closer to you id be up for the dyno day as I need my bike setting up and sounds like a fun day out, + my bike is stock engine wise apart form an end can and er10 spark plugs and has just had a full service

but as it is im looking for a bit of sponsorship from a dyno place for racing in exchange for their name on bike and team gear so will wait out and keep aproaching local companies
