Re: VFR400 rebuild
The other pipes are the vacuum breather pipes for the slides, you shouldnt be getting fuel outta them,
If its out of the over flows it would suggest a sticky float or baddly adjusted float valve

Re: VFR400 rebuild
im gunna try catch it on video mate, as im 99% sure its coming from there. how is that even possible!?
its stopped coming out the overflow now too, i left it all to stand for an hour coz the carbs have been dry for 6 months, maybe the o rings have expanded now and sealed, its still pissing from the slide vacum like you said though..... battery is dead too but she does turn over, get a hiss from somewhere too when i do it.... cant pin the hiss down though.

Re: VFR400 rebuild
update,
i might have been lucky and its fixed its self. i gave the said carb a few whacks to try and unstick the floats, all leaks have stopped. its been stood with fuel now for 2 and half hours and it very well might have lubbed its self up and freed its self. anyways, its not leaking now.
AND, it started and ideled. revs up, sounds rough as fook mind but revs up too 15-16 then popps/back fires. im not sure if its fireing on all 4! dosnt sound right though. is there a way to check? touch the pipe collors?
so it runs and has no more leaks.
if reved it hangs at 3-4000 for a few seconds before dropping.....lean idel??
plus any chock and it dies, i had to start it with NO choke/and bit of throttle...... suggest rich as hell??
cherrs for the help so far guys, im not edging my bets just yet but fingers crossed those carbs can stay on, for now.

Re: VFR400 rebuild
they dont plug into the carbs , they plug into the cylinder heads , look on each cyclinder head you will see a small blanking plug on each one , (bit like where the spigot for the vac pipe connects to )
