250cc - 4cyl - 16v - 45bhp
I couldn't help welcome an old friend home again when I heard she was up for offers

1990 3LN3 FZR250R
On another note, got the rear tyre ordered for the FZR400R so it could now be a 'rolling' project next weekend

You can't get a decent 125 for £375 nowadays so like I said - rude not too
TBH last time I owned I used it as a winter rat but it coped so well and it just 'fitted' if you know what I mean - thats why I have high hopes for the FZR400.

Well after a recent biking holiday to Spain, France, Germany and a stint through Belgium to get me home - I got the new rear tyre fitted today so it's rollin rollin rollin!!
All brakes bled up and working too. Chain and L/H water hose next!

Just got this off ebay - now just got to hire a van to collect it from Scotland lolz

Still runs but I mainly wanted it for the exhaust headers. A little windfall means I should be able to finish this the right side of christmas now

I saw it first, I didn't have a plan to drag it the length of the country though !!!
I think the headers are BDK tapperred, worth the money you paid for the whole thing.

Yeah thats what I was kind of thinking. He's going to throw in the tank and swingarm too. The CDI unit says 4DX on it and according to seller it still has a frame number on it.
To be honest I only bought it with a view to using the headers and breaking the rest to recoup £££'s. The only other decent headers on ebay are £250 + P&P in Northern Ireland. I will get a new scorpion end can and it will near enough finish the project off once I get my arrs in gear

Re: I predict Yamaha Shares will rise soon.........
Well after collecting the race bike remains from Scotland I have made some progress. I have changed the clutch for a new 3HE 600 setup (taken from my old 600 that was written off ). All went in just one new clutch plate left over. Glad I had the 3HE clutch gasket spare too as the old one ripped when I took it off.
Cut the speedo cable guide from the subframe as it was fouling the forks. Now all the clocks and front fairing are all fitted up it is really taking shape. New battery is in too. I have fitted the Swona tapered headers, not too worried about the exup - In time I will use the BDK CDI unit aswell once I have a remote fuel tap with reserve (ala FZR250
).
The rear end Is pretty much all done. Just waiting on the chain to arrive, then I will do the final clutch adjustments and get the fairing lowers on. Cycle speedo then MOT!
