Right an update managed to get a few moments to play with the bike, the air filter im pretty sure is standard it has the snorkel at the front of it where it sucks air in but i saw no rubber flap thing could anyone tell me abit more about these?? where they sit and what there for? as for the bike fitted 2.2ohm resistor at speedo end that has stopped it spluttering at 5k, now it revs straight up to 14k no problem but only when ive let her really warm up runs crap when cold i asume this is normal then? i might check to see if someone has taken out the thermostat as it takes ages to get up to temp. so thats the good news all the help on here has got it running only thing i notice it bottom end when opening the throttle hard it bogs down goes slow to 3k then flys up to 14 could this be down to this flap and its getting to much air when opening the throttle quickly?? thanks all getting there slowly but surely.

That could be associated with the pilot screw settings, although opening the throttle quickly at low revs on any small capacity, over-carbed bike isn't going to be uber responsive.

Most of your issues sound pretty normal to me. Take it to the track and get to know the bike before worrying too much!

Cheers Cammo your probably right as its a track bike ive not been able to take her on the road yet so technically the fist time ill get to see how she goes is when i book the track thats why i want to make sure she all runs great dont want to get there and find shes struggleing. had a 400 gsxr years ago and it was fantastic so hopeing this ia as good.cheers
