Can't remember who it is but somebody has the SP KIT parts book on here, that might help. Are you sure this is KIT as in proper Yamaha racing parts ???

There are 2 cdi's on the Bay at the moment, one of them has 3TJ - 70 on it, the other 3TJ01. The 01 looks like the standard (restricted) CDI the 70 only has one block connector on it ... if I have to guess I'd say it doesn't have a restriction, but more than that I couldn't say. Try it, if you get past 12,5k rpm in top it's unresricted

i bought that one that's still on the Bay. He hasn't ended the auction but I already received it.
I do have the Kit part manual but it's in Japanese and I don't see any cdi units in it.
Al the KIT parts are from Sugo right?
I don't know if it's just a derestricted item or a KIT part.
I checked the BDK website and it says that the 3TJ-70/72/73 are de deristricted ones.
Maybe the 70 was for the 3TJ2 and the 71/72 for the 3TJ6/7?

This one only has one block connector and one other little wire.

It sounds like it's a derestricted unit but not a true factory KIT part.
£50 for a unrestricted CDI is good

Thanks for looking that up!
Aha I see. I thought it was a great price too ;)
Let's see if it works when my bike is finished.
