I don't know why anyone would want a digital speedo.

With you on that, I might be getting on a bit but digital things have to be read and calculated for my old brain to understand. You know at a glance where you are with a needle, like looking at a compass or when you glance at your watch. Tank mounted sundial anyone?

agree with stick shift and carlos, the clocks look damn sweet to me, plus love seein that needle flyin up and down when your on and off the gas :D :D :D

the rx2 has a needle rev counter, the digi dash on my 50 is basicly a simple version of the rx2 with the same layout so its what im used to and prefer

The reason I was thinking of new clocks was to just make it a little bit more modern and make some space to mount the ignition block - but I've had an idea I'll keep you all updated.
I think I'll pass on the Koso clocks now as I'm easily convinced that they are a bit too casio watch and a bit scooterish too!

Well - this weekend I attempted to check the valve shims which went wella nd they were all within tolerences too - bonus!

I also cleaned up the carbs and did the 2.5mm slide mod too :)

Last thing i did was to start it up for the first time in a while - sounded great with the new system - however it did seem to have a strange tappetty sound from the rear cylinders- specifically No 3 cylinder. Or it might have been the exhaust blowing/tapping away in tha area?

Could it be exhaust valves that are causing the problem?

But its almost ready to go back out onto the road :D All thats left to do is fit the fairing and give it all a good going over to make sure nothing has been left loose.

thats coming along really well, i must admit a wasnt too keen on the bike when it first appeared but its looking good now. nice spec too

I've just about completed all the things I wanted to do (up to this point!) And its just a case of a little bit of fine adjustment and I'll be out on the road :D

I think you've made the right decision with the clocks. I couldn't find a replacement that I genuinely felt as a worthy change for under £500. There is a beauty in those old dials; I'd never contemplate swapping the clocks on my old Blade, for example.

That is a lovely looking bike mate - well done.

So cool to see NC30s being looked after and turned into top quality bikes..
