Cheers, I'm pretty chuffed with it. I'd sometimes forget what was lurking in the back of the garage week after week, but having recently worked on the bike, it's a nice reminder that something a bit more special than my other bikes sleep there. Look forward to starting it up every now and then to keep everything relatively fresh, and if I get a break in this awful weather sometime soon, I'll get it out properly to go get the thing tested.

Final spec. Hmmm, I'll try and keep this in some kind of order, but can't remember every change I've made, these are the more obvious bits:

1991 NC30 with Dream Machine paintjob finished in gunmetal metallic and pearl white, powdercoated white wheels, carbon fairing inlays, carbon front mudguard, carbon frame protectors, carbon chainguard, Mercury SP1 syle exhaust system, quick action throttle, RLR tuned RVF carbs, powdercoated engine covers, Ohlins rearshock by Kais, RVF Kais modified front forks, Braking front discs, RRW Fireblade front calipers, stainless braided lines, Pazzos, aftermarket top radiator, crankcase breather, SES rearsets.

now now karl thats maybe a bit extreme,but i can't believe your going to fix a cracked engine casing with glue ....

nice to see you back craig, love the bike, your bikes allways look tastefull and sooooo CLEAN, pluss your topics allways have loads of picktures, which is nice. is that a magnesium top yoke with the hrc logo cnc'd into it? nice! keep it up, take it for a ride to rlr or mhp for an engine blue print just to finnish the job.

craig has made referances in the past about the engine having something done to it but he has always ben secretive of this,i'd like to see it get a swanky engine put in to match it's looks.

What are the color codes?

Dream Machine don't work in colour codes (well, they didn't pass them on), but I asked for a match for an RR7 CBR600RR. Seems pretty close.

Thanks Stevie, good to hear you're still a member here. The motor's pretty much stock, I've always been in a frame of mind that I bought the 400 because it only puts out 60bhp or so. I'm just in the frame of mind of trying to make most of that limited potential, with a few little tweaks. Although the thought of a 75bhp 400 is somewhat appealing...

want to add that i just love this bike, i'm ashamed to say it, so i'll whisper so my smokin joes wont be able to hear me. ( i'm sure you understand, these nc's have a funny nack of taking things personally) but i do and thats the truth, and now i'm going to buy stuff on ebay to make up for it!

Cheers, I always considered my choices in the bike's features a personal thing and not to everyone's liking - especially when it changed from Konica rep to old skool OE design. I guess it bears some idea to the reaction it might get when finally out on the road again.

I've accidently bought some new bits for it though (again). The cans are changing to carbon next week and as there are no longer any clearence issues that I had with the TSR, I've also placed an order for another carbon rear hugger.

Then, erm....it will be ready.
