K&N part no YA-6089. This is the filter for the 3he. It is a little bit taller than the 3tj filter but the diameter is the same. By removing the rubber seal it almost fits, just!
Sorry i dont have the print out for my dyno run. My friend ran it as a favour just so i had a base figure before i did any tuning.

Ash yes this can be done with 3en2 for i am doing one right now also 3tj1 swing arm fits in perfect all you need to do is change the bearings on swing arm...

engine will mount in spot on with strut arms.

Good Luck.

Yes it's easier than with the 3TJ. If you use the 3HE engine from the FZR600 you can still use the 400's airbox. You'll need the down pipes and have to bend the exhaust a bit to fit the can on, and it's best to use the 600 CDI too so it has the lower redline revs. It would be good to get the 600's carbs as you know it runs with them on, but you could use the 400's and rejet them to the 600 standard.
The airbox will be higher though (the engine is 20mm taller) and that will make the cover harder to get on but you could space it a bit and push it all down harder.

If theis is a road bike don't change the swingarm / rear wheel as it's a lot of work for a small amount of gain that's not necessary on the road.

You don't need the 3HE downpipes. You can fit the 3EN1 or 3EN2 downpipes, just make a small cover plate for where the exup used to be. Fits just fine on mine.

I,have just fitted my 4jh engine in my 3jt frame, and have found that front sprocket is out of alignment by approx 10mm,this means i will have to move the motor over 10mm to the right.
and this is with yamaha swingarm an wheel.now to get this right i will have to take matierial off heads and crankcases, the alternative to removing from crankcases is to move rear engine mounts,So why is this so far out.

The bottom end should line up, the cranckcases are common. Have you got the top plates in and everything torqued ??? could the rear wheel be out of line on the chain alaigment marks ???

I have not yet bolted every thing up tight, have not yet made the top plates because i'm going to do the 660 and that will mean the top mounts will be raised 6mm higher.
the other problem i have is i started with a bare frame, and i mean bare, and as the top rear mounts are different when i put the bolt through the frame, then engine mount i noticed no thread on the other side of the frame, but did see some threaded lugs so i presume i am missing another piece of the puzzle,so what is it,and more to the point does any body have a spare one they can let me have,l'll pay for it of course,

Hunter I think you are missing an alloy braket for the top mount. If it's the same as mine it looks a bit flimsy my one has a slightly dodgy thread on it.
