i too think on a standard looking bike a nice sp style system looks the dogs, and it makes sence what you say about jetting each head to suit

I was looking at my bike with its tail tidy and the can is quite high up and i think it would look awesome with oine the other side, but i dont think, correction ' i know' i cant afford anything like that for a while

A good stainless SP style system will cost around £5-600 for a used Jap system, Jap4Performance will do you one for about £6-700 but that will require you to cut a standard RVF rear section of pipes as that's how MHP do their systems, a Tyga made shotgun system is about £650 or a second hand Jap stack would be aroung the £3-400 mark. What makes Roysters, VFRmans and micpecs TSR so nice (and expensive) is that they are titanium pipes. The are just half system (rear pipes and cans) but they are so trick looking and from what I recall Royster go good power from his when it was last on the dyno.

Can you explain what 'back-flushing' is?

You don't need any special equipment to back-flush a rad, nor is it specifically done on cars. Back flushing is washing the rad out by flowing water through backwards, ie the reverse of the normal coolant flow. It flushes out more crap etc than flushing in the same direction as the coolant flow.

Hiya,
mine sounds ace with two reverse-cone megaphones, but its stupid loud (like sets car alarms off!!!) it now has decibel eaters in but it still a bit loud so i'm going to put a couple of carbon microns on it instead so its a bit quieter. Twin exhaust are deffo the way to go, the niose on the power is amazing!!

Can definitely recommend MHP twin stacks for a deep, throaty roar! There not cheap but they free up the power, give a great sound and look pretty cool if you ask me Not as expensive as some systems, as it uses a cut RVF system as mentioned already.

would love a set of shotgun pipes, but its hard to find a set that dont displace the rear footpegs...
im loving the look of the sp pipes- just cant afford £600 for an exhaust at the moment...
oh well.. xmas is on the way... lol

If any one is thinking about the Tyga system i can say it is very well made but the maggott is silly loud far to loud. But it does look nice.

ive heard alot of good things about the tyga systems, but im worried that the twin stack will end up displacing the rear footpegs...
plus £700 is a bit pricey for just the exhaust....
still, you never know what santa might bring...

My Moriwaki stack doesn't remove the pillion pegs. I don't take anyone pillion, but compared to some other stacks I'v seen, there is no option for pillion pegs. Here's my stack, plenty of room for pegs.
