You mean to say ive spent hours going through my garage to find you an adaptor and you don't need it because you didn't have the common sense to try it! If I ever see your bike im gunna set light to the fucking thing!

sorry man well at least now you know you have it :D

Check for leaks at the caliper to hose joint as the hose has a taper face joint to seal to the adapter.
Fitting the hose direct may not achieve a reliable joint.

The adapter allows the hose to be undone at that end, rather than unbolting the other end and turning the whole hose for removal. [e.g for caliper removal]
It also allows the top banjo to fit without the hose being twisted to align.
