I'll stop you there.

Without putting on my 'lecture' knickers, you were all for spending time and money f-ing about with the look of the bike and you're thinking about bodging the exhaust...

Take the headers off (soak the studs/nuts in WD40 or something similar after running it up to temperature and leave it overnight) and get them welded up. If it's only a couple of small 1mm holes then anyone with a MIG welder can put a couple of spots over the pipes. The bandage won't fix the holes, just mask a problem.

But yes, I think a bandage would pass an MOT

A bandage won't hold it for very long though you might get to the MOT centre ... you might not, so better to get them welded.

Kayla ... you didn't have your knickers on .... :o

I've got the whole rear brake set up!

(Note the proper use of the apostrophe there, damned smart invention that! Just never teach 9 year olds that they exist or they'll be putting them in every word with an 's' in! :x )

is it possible to update the looks on the 3en1 at all? put a later tank/plastics on?

i really love the bloody engine on the bike but the plastics are shot and I prefer the single headlight fizzers over the twin like i've got.. plus the shape of the tank/cover really niggles me,....

it's just 3en2 rear panels and they cut the nose fairing behind the mirrors, probably because the fairing was broken there.

Really what you need is a paint job. Clean up the panels you've got and sand them back with a sander. Either paint them yourself or get them sprayed and add a sticker set, costs a few quid though. Here's one I did with a mate.

The tank shroud is slightly different, the rear panels clip into it at the bottom and I think it screws onto the frame lower down, but not really a problem.

the one thing I'll point out to you, the pic of the bike you want to copy - look at the condition of the bike, the wear and general cleaness of it ..... not great huh ???
