Cheers
The coils are the DC1-3 dual output 3 Ohm mini series.
Cheers for that

[quote="selexon"]Hi Tanuki the Dyna coil bodies are a little bit bigger then the oem ones but bolt up to the same diameter spacing which makes them an ease to fit. I had to make some longer alloy spacers to lift the coils from the frame 5mm or so. The coils are 3ohm not 5ohm as I quoted before. The std plug end can be kept and new HT lead was used.
The difference you get is they are a stronger spark about 40,000 volts, which leads to a better combustion and slight difference in throttle response could be felt as well.

Hi,
Just wondering as far as stock coils standard impedence = 20 ohms. Are this fine to use 3 Ohms ?

Re: Project NC29 spangly bastard!
Just got back from anglesea and the bike with it's minor mods so far worked brilliantly.
The airbox wails like a banshee from around 8k to the recline and the bike really pulls like it never did before, my only issue was the removable part of the HRC rep tail unit fell off and some point but managed to get it back.
So with my next trackday not until July I have time to fit the RVF forks and possibly even (if clearance will allow) the ZXR rad so expect more updates.
Oh and with any luck I'll be dropping off the crank and head at the engineers soon.
Oh and one other thing received my digi dash, but that's definatly a winter project when the bike is fully stripped.

So the full HRC ram air setup works well then mate.
Digi dash is easier than it looks, 1 plug is +12v, +12v ign and earth. 1 is the temp, and the only other connection you need is for the tacho. Where does your current tacho read from?

Re: Project NC29 spangly bastard!
its standard mate so I assume the CDI.
I really am a electrical douche...one question you had to keep your standard idiot lights (oil and neutral right)?
and the lap timer thing on it is there a switch you can buy to fit on the clip on or something?
and yes the HRC set up is awesome.

Easy then, just connect it to the cdi. You may need to change the pulse settings or something as its a IL4. Tacho display can also be changed to 20k if you need anything above 15ktanuki wrote:its standard mate so I assume the CDI.

Re: Project NC29 spangly bastard!
cool cheers.....gulp!
its definatly a winter job mate as i want to strip some of the unused crap out like the indicator circuits and tidy the whole loom up, also need to make some sort of back plate for it to mount to as well.
chuffed with it though

Re: Project NC29 spangly bastard!
Cheers mate :)
More stuff done today
Stripped most of the front end out as I'm finally going to collect my RVF yokes today

And took the opportunity to dummy fit the ZXR rad, first thing was to fit the brackets

Then fit the rad, this is where I found that the brackets are a bit long and could be shortened as I need as much clearance as possible, you can see how big the gap is...

So shortened the brackets and remounted it, this is the highest it can possibly go, if I'm honest I think it's just to big but we will see once the RVF front end goes in.

Here it is from the side, it looks like it's at an angle but it's pretty straight, the other thing I will have to do if there is enough clearance is make some sort of bracket so it doesn't rest against the pipes.
