Paul, if theres one thing id love to see in the tyga shop it would be kevlar cans for the NC, without the rivet bands. Kevlar sleeves are imposible to find but im sure a company like yourselfs could sort something???

Let's stick to bodywork for now. I've already hijacked this thread enough by going on about TYGA products.
Ok, on the headlights, the 600 headlights from China we tried and they were supplied prescratched on the inside of the lens. Unless there are several factories putting these out which is possible in China, then Delkevic are going to be the same. Frankly I don't trust Chinese quality. The stuff looks the same but all the copy headlights in Thailand on the pick up trucks end up going a nasty yellow colour when exposed to UV (so would be ok for British users LOL) . What would happen if this was the case on our headlights? We wouldn't know until it was way too late. On cost, you would be better off sourcing them and mounting to our fairings because by the time we have bought, shipped, paid import duty and then done any modifications, marked up (yes sorry but we would need to do this) and then shipped to the end user and then they paid duty possibly, they are going to be quite expensive.
Check out the prices of our headlight units and we are talking well under 100 pounds retail. The build quality is on a par with genuine superbike lights. They are made from the same stuff with anti-scratch coatings, proper QC and guaranteed long term supply. What we need to do is find a local light to us which you guys like the look of. The halogoen bulbs we use now are plenty bright enough if compared to the original ones. The headlights in the Aprilia and ZXR250 fairings we made have not had any negative comments and are essentially the same as the ones we use on the 400. The issue is cosmetics and it is challenging but not impossible to find something. I was hoping the new CBR250 would fit the bill but when it was released and we saw the light, oh how I was wrong!
Next issue is the physical size of the headlight. Not only are the 600 lights too wide for the styling (would look like the 2007-10 CB125 which looks like it has a pencil stuck in its mouth sideways) but there are all sorts of clearance issues with instruments because the stock ones are huge compared to modern type and then if you move the clocks they bang on the handlebars. The way out is to extend the nose forward but for an RC211V style it shouldn't be beyond the buttons on the brake rotors at furthest. The same is true of Moto 2 fairings which tend to be blunt and narrow. If you want a 600 replica then just throw a 600 fairing on but that is not what we wanted.
The T10 headlight is in my view in proportion to the overal width of the fairing. If you look at the NC35 fairing the headlight is not particularly wide and we wanted to echo this. I guess I just don't like to see huge headlights dominating the frontal area of my motorcycles. To me Ducati have it about right. The Japanese as usual seem to go to excess, and their crystal dominated front ends are in bad taste in my view. Personally I like the projector beam style in our RC211V because it interferes the least with the design and there is nothing stopping people buying the race version of our RC211V fairing and drilling two round holes for a pair of Halford sperical lens projectors. The result would be neat and unobtrusive.
On the tail light, we could put a regular flat LED taillight in the end of the tail and flatten the end up but then we would lose the uniquie feature of the RC211V seat cowling which is the curved vents and the round exhaust on the original or in our case the tail light. The K Conversion tail light looks gash in my opinion and like it was liberated from a chopper. Also we do have the flat LED in our twin seat so it is hard to justify yet another permutation on the theme. Better to make a fresh design but apart from classical GP stying, the latest seat cowling trends are rather ugly (thinking RC212, CBR1000, Most Moto 2 ) Hmmm, something to think about.
No problem with Sumoto. They are cool with anyone ordering direct.
I'd better get the modelling clay out and get to work then...

Yeah, well said too Gavin! It looks rubbish. I would not ride on that bike, not even if they pay me some money for it.

Paul, interesting to read and to understand your business point of view for your tyga products.
Keep up the good work and research with more products for the moto enthuastics worldwide
I will be ordering some parts later this year. My project bike is (still) not ready yet. Personally I'd prefer the styling that is nearest to the suzuka style or to the original shapes of the RVF over the IMO more modern looks. But maybe that is just me. Kevlar sleeeved cans as mentioned by DM is really interesting to me too. If there is any development for such in the near future I would be very interested in them.

Thanks for the feedback and encouraging remarks. We obviously want to match our product range with 400 owners to everyones advantange. Glad to see lots of interests and upcoming orders :)
On the Kevlar can, we will certainly look into it.
