I've put about 0.75 bar in my front forks (NC24) with a bicycle pump and it has made a massive improvement just judging by pushing down on the forks. It seems to only compress half as far with the same push.
I'm glad my mech told me to use a bicycle pump! just about 4-5 hard pumps on a large bicycle hand pump gets one of the forks up to 1.5 bar! It could be game over very quickly if you use compressed air. It really is a very small space to pump up.

Haha! Oops, I forgot to say that you only need 1 pump on a small bicycle pump!

Hey Lope has it made much difference to the handling off the bike since you put air into your forks?
