Do the NC24 have the same stubby rear as the NC30? Would love to see some pics
Stubby rear what? :D

VFR400K (NC21)

Good point ;) Been a while since I saw one in the flesh but I thought they had an oil cooler. will dig out the parts book later (it has its own parts book lol!)

Having looked at both engines it shouldnt be hard at all to fit, what i thought was a rear mount on the NC24 isn't even used... i'll take a picture of an engine in a frame later :) might even just drop in

Stubby rear manifold - NC30/35 has a little mini (heavy) stubby that then connects to the rest of the half system

Oh no it doesn't, you can fit one as their the same head pretty much (barring cams etc) but on the NC24 the rear shock is in the middle of the bike, on the NC30/35 it is moved to the left to allow the rear downpipes to join the manifold so if you fit it to an NC24 engine it doesn't fit in the NC24 frame.

The NC24 downpipes looks like so...

Interestingly for the 750 RC24[1] at least the centre routing meant that for the race bikes they needed oval tubing for the rear cylinders, going to the single sided rear (on the RC30) gave more room meaning that they could use larger round tubing and gained 2hp.

Looking at the space available though it makes you wonder just how big the headers were!

Not quite sure with the smaller engines if it makes so much of a difference of course.

[1] After reading "Honda's V-Force" the RC24 has far more race heritage than I thought and the RC30 has far more in common with it than I thought.

The RC24 rear headers are the ones that come down like in the picture then do a U turn yea? I havea some of those I was messing with when considering NC24 exhaust options.. :)

Two types of RC24 headers, 86-87 and 88-89

These are the 88-89 Fj/FK ones like these

The 86-87 are quite different but I can't find a picture.

Druid, there's a decent example of one of these on yahoo japan atm. It has quite a few genuine hrc parts on it. I would love to make room in my garage for this!

Oooh, very nice, some interesting features. The HRC wheels look very close to CBR6 wheels, I wonder if they'd fit, a 6X rep would be ace. I'd need a FG/FH fairing though.
