Re: CRM's NC30 project - codename EXON VALDEZ

after a short break with little things like trips to europe, starting a new business, and juggling finances, i got up with the intention of getting this thing fired for the first time.
Sadly even with people pulling out the stops to get bits to me, and with everything ready (or so i thought) to get it running today i hit another snag.
The fuel pipe splitter and feed pipe is the wrong bore (not the main tank to splitter) but the fault lies with the splitter and feeds so it aint going to be this weekend,
I could (and have thought about this) take the RVF carbs from the UK bike, and pipe too, and transplant onto this shitter, but i feel thats a slippery slope. where does it stop and what gets raped of it next ? rads ? clipons ? panels ? wheels ?
i could quickly end up with a non running UK bike and a limping project shitter.
However i am seriously considering putting the UK bike back to standard, original UK pipe and carbs, get it setup. then fit all the new old stock panels inc nose cone, mids, lowers, tank, seat panels, freshly coated wheels and fresh 090's and punt it on at top dollar leaving me with all the real scruffy panels (which were going on this) and some quite reasonable panels (which i will keep as spares).
This will free up 3k for the business (dave are you reading this) and its one less bike to worry about. and lets me concentrate more on this project too.
anyway the pics

and yes those clipons are bent indenticaly

so assuming this engines actually got any pistons inside and runs ok without need anything more than a service then this bike has broken the bank. ok i have a bike i have built from scratch which i know inside out which counts for alot, however it would have been cheaper long term to buy a 800 quid scruffer but runner, and use my bodykit.
hey ho, anwyay lets see about this engine first. i am compiling a final shopping list. watch this space.
but thanks goto everyone who has helped supplying me parts for this so far, some for free even. some pulling out the stops to get things to me asap too. thanks guys.
