As for the rad do you mean the F3? I want something a fair bit larger and I want curved as you get that little bit more for the same width and the NSR one ticks all the boxes including fitting under the Tyga fairings and giving me a much larger surface area.

I've decided against doing the frame swap as I really like the alloy swingarm and I think with the black frame and wheels a black swingarm will be a bit to much so the wet bike is going to be all stealthy black lol.

Ahhhh I see. I went with the F3 simply out of ease of being able to purchase it. Found it on ebay over here for $30USD in great shape. It's 22cm high and about 40cm wide. Barely fits under the tyga bodywork. I had to trim the inner fins a little bit. But it's substantially larger than the stocker and fit better than the R6 radiator I had fitted.

Did Mallory park today and others that the rear wheel catching the bellypan under really hard braking (I was using a 42 tooth rear sprocket hence the wheel being that much closer) and some oil leakage from a not properly tightened filler cap the bike ran like an absolute dream.
I think though I'm going to go back to total loss though which means either buying a fancy charger for my durbhan battery or switching back to a standard one.

I think just a charger that they use on radio controlled cars will do for that battery mate

So it had its shakedown today at Mallory and I have to say that it's a totally different bike, I'm quite front endy when I ride and the new seat position and rearsets have really slung me even further over the front of the bike which took a little getting used to but the biggest difference is the wheels......I can't begin to explain the difference it turns so quickly and on 2 occasions really shook its head as I accelerated out of the bus stop and pushed on the bars to turn into the devils elbow. I really had to change my riding style a fair bit and they are going to take a bit of getting used to....I really need to speak to Tyga and see if there is a way of fitting a damper.
Nothing fell off although things could have been different had the oil filler cap come off anymore than it did.
The dash was ok but again wierd to get used to a digi dash over an analogue and the shift lights are no way bright enough but I have a really bright led one to fit that conects straight to the coil.
Bodywork was all good although the rear wheel was touching the belly pan under hard braking when there was zero weight over the wheel But that was mostly due to the 42 tooth rear sprocket over the 38 I would use for most tracks.

All in all very happy although I may go back to total loss....yet to decide.

As you all know a project bike is never finished so here it is today



I have a few things to get sorted before I start building up the second bike one of which is to trim the bellypan, this is the damage from yesterday.



Also have a minor oil leak to fix and also need to decide if I'm going to whip the stator off or not and go total loss, oh and fit a decent shift light as the ones on the dash a just shite....oh and new headstock bearings.

I see you are running a small LifePo4 type battery. I can tell you it will not work with the total loss. I've already lost one trackday on account of it. That is with charging between every session with the supplied from the battery maker charger.

My bike is running R1 stick coils and a XT Racing GPX Pro lap timer. WITH the charging system it works fine. But cannot handle it without the constant flow of electricity.

I am running the 8 cell because the 4 cell did not work. And neither does the 8. Tried it on my FZR with a total loss also. Didn't make it two sessions.

The mini battery is up for sale and I'll be going back to a standard one for going total loss.

Although I did consider trying the mini one with a charger but thanks to you I won't bother now.
