Nope, i sooner pump a lever than a foot pedal by hand.

Theres better flow from gravity on the fronts the rear has always been dificult to bleed and airlocks quite easier.

I guess its a preference thing, either way a mityvac is made of win and thats the way ive always done them :D

Never, ever had a single issue bleeding fronts. Not yet had to do the rear myself. Rear on my TZR was a little awkward as it has two bleed points.

The only time I ever have an issue bleeding brakes is when you get two bleed nipples on a caliper, one on each bank of pistons. Always end up having to re-bleed the insides :twisted:
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

I've always found the rear to bleed up very easily compared to the fronts.

i think the rears are extremely easy... put a small clear hose on the bleed nipple, put the other end inside a bottle, go on your knees, get a small wrench for the nipple screw, open the screw, pump with hand. close the screw, release, open, pump, close, release. etc..

Or just open the nipple with clear hose attached & let gravity do it's stuff 8-)

What's all this open and close nonsense? Put a clear hose on the nipple and run it back to the m/c reservoir holding it under the level of the fluid. Make sure the reservoir is well topped up. Open nipple. Pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump, when no more bubbles appear in the tube, close the nipple. Job done.

i watched a video and the guy opened and closed the nipple which is what ive been doing when i was trying to get the piston out, i forgot to close the nipple each time and just pumped, it never bled properly hence why the piston never pushed out. but i did it like the method on the video and the piston popped right out and i could feel more resistance on the brake lever.

I guess in your case, the closing of the nipple is so that air isn't sucked in through it when the pressure is released? If the tube is immersed in fluid, that can't happen. Or at least, it can't happen once the tube has been filled with brake fluid.

ahh yeah that makes sense, cause when i did it with the nipple open, some of the fluid decided to go back in along with some air bubbles
