razghost wrote:After 4 months, 2 crashes and alot of saving i think i have finally got everything i wanted (within reason).

A list of everything done since i brought the damm thing 4 months ago
Steering head bearings (60)
MOT (30)
Oil and filter (30)
DB Screen (50)
F tyre (100)
Chain + sprockets (120)
F brake lever (20)
Clutch mount (20)
CBR600 calipers inc. fitting and brakets (200)
Braided hoses (60)
Air filter (20)
Spark plugs (60) I was in a hurry)
Cheap chinese fairings (250)
Top fairing (130)
K-conversions fairing and tank (900)
Exhaust head manifold (50)
Scorpion c/f silencer (250)
Track rearsets (100)
Alarm (20)
Mirrors (20)
Re MOT (30)
New powder coated yoke (30)
Powder coated side stand (15)

All this works out to only £2450, luckly my insurance claim went through so i only paid £900.

And now all i need is
Wheels powder coated (80)
Carbs overhauled (150)
ignition switch (35)

Hopefully with a bit of christmas overtime at work i'll have these done by the end of january.

People have said to me that spending all this money on a 400 is stupid and i should of got a 600 but when it comes to something you love money is no object. Plus i dont need a 600, my lil nc30 is rapid enough as it is, i think 0-60 in 4 secs is good enough but of course someday i will get something bigger eirther a gsxr1000 or ducati 999.

What do you think, may i have gone a bit mad?

Will get some pictures up when i have the k-conversions fairing fitted.

Stephen

why did you spend £900 on a K-conversions kit when they sell them for £350

+ the tank (80+paint 80+ postage 80)
+ paint for fairing 150
+ Brackets 50
+ postage 150

it all adds up but the quotes i got for just the paint job around here were loads, around £600-700.
