Back to the point. I'm also not sure if my cb400 sf is restricted or not. I've got it to 185km/h in 5th gear before running out of road. It takes longer to get up to 180 in 6th. Is their anything I can physicaly see on the bike to look if the restriction has been disabled? Or will I just have to test it further?

i woulnd't have thought so,185kph is roughly 115mph..

so unless you feel the restriction cutting in,most jap imports cut the ignition two cylinders causing a bad mis-fire thenchances are your bike is not restricted..........

Pull the fuse!

tail light, indicators, gauges, horn fuse.

THEN TRY TO RIDE IT OVER 6000 RPM

if it doesn't misfire then its not restricted.

OR

If someone has done the mod, then it would be behind the chrome headlight backing.
Or on the CDI unit, under the tank.
