That looks really good mate. I love the size of the outlets, they look like the same as the ones on the race bikes I've seen over here (wouldn't be best suited to the road though I'd not imagine, but I'd try anything me :D)

Cheers G, Yeah, it does look superb..but there are a coupla flaws in the master plan and so I will be taking it back for some fettling.; The rear pipe is too much of an "outy" The guys leant the bike right over adn thought "yep, not going to deck out"...but I explained and showed the sidestand is ground down fairly badly and with the stand not even closing properly it was obvious that taking any corners (rockingham!!) would result in ground out pipes and ejection..

So, got it home and am cool with it and almost feel tight about making the guys make me another link pipe but hey...I gave them my number and they had a decent bit of piping to copy... ( cheers royster ;) )

Ref the outlets..lol..yeah, pretty large! Looks cool in a chav kinda way. I did advise them that 105db was the limit for it and so they actually sleeved the innards slightly so it is not as big bore as it looks. very clever.

I will be rebuilding the bike this weekend I hope and then will ride it to their works for the link pipe mk2 to be made.

not cheap..not as expensive as the others you see advertised so in balance I am happy. it is unique and looks well pukka so the CMSMJ1 grin factor meter is in the green for go stage..

on a twinstack system does the bore of the perforated tube in the end can have to be the same as the bore as the rest of the system? Got my new cans made and frankly they look crap, not pleased with them  . The outlets have a ring welded onto their tips and they look like they have been welded by a blind leper who has parkinsons disease.

Oh yeah..about freaking time too... I get my bike back and it works..lol

I took my Half Yammy that had seen better days and chopped the Y piece off it. A very kind gentleman call Rhory sent me his pipes to copy and cans to get an idea of hanger and straps...I took it to my local chav exhaust place..a few weeks later and I have my unique stack..

Am very happy to have no9 back and working - was grinning like a murderer on the ride back from the shop. Superb.

Anyways - gratuitous pics just as I got it into the garden.. It needs a serious wash and the bodywork putting back on and then riding like it deserves.

Image
The cans - stainless steel - pretty heavy actually but hey...bothered..lol

Image
Check them bazookas out..lol - told you it was a chavvy place. Had it sound tested - 101 decibels..sounds loud when riding though.

Anyways - I learned a couple of things.

1: Cheap stacks = nope..not happening.
2: Rhory is a proper gentleman of the old school - much respect fella.
3: I would prob not do it again if I had the choice..lol - too much ballache and too many weeks without my bike!
4: My bike rules..a rapid little moto is no9 - need to go get dyno tastic just to prove me wrong..lol - 59 bhp or bust :D

glad you got it sorted in the end fella

did you notice anything different about the jetting when you started riding it again, does it seem to ride any different or feel like it's going to run out of puff early ? these are just things i noticed on my bike when i fitted 2 cans, maybe you won't notice it as much as you have done some (aye just some lol) jetting changes to your bike

the can strap looks like a good solid piece of kit,i might need to chat to you next year about that..

8-) 8-) thumbs up from me but 8-) 8-)

Cheers Royster

Yeah - it feels different but I cannot put my finger on it as I have not had a proper razz out of it yet. I am going to the shops this afternoon...via the country roads..so I will get some revs blasted and refit the programmable CDI and see where the jetting stands. It needs carb balancing I thik as the idle is lumpy as hell - also I have a very slow rev dropping like there is an air leak?

can strap is two cheap ones spot welded and clamped at the back - looks good from theoutsdie but a dog's brekkie from the inside..

oh joy - still at work..lol

well let us know how she went on her run over the hills,i noticed when i went back to a single can on my castrol bike that it felt like i had more midrange, like it pulled really well at 5/6k but almost leveled off around 11/12k but when i put the TSr's back on i instantly felt like i had lost the 5/6/7k pull but it felt like it could rev higher and harder at 11/12k.

also with the twin cans i noticed it idled faster (found this on both castrol and the one i crashed when they changed from ethoos to TSR's and sansei with ccc can to the chris nield (dynopro) stack) both bikes needed adjusting to bring them back down below 2k.

i'm on the look out for a strap like the ones mercury where doing (see micro monkeys bike) as i'm sure you found when you had my system the can strap is cheap and nasty and the cans can swivel and it makes alining them up a gaint pain in the ass

keep us all updated and i wanna hear how it workd with the CDI,rejetting, dyno runs (mmm i think i need my fix of dyno tuning soon) and just ypur thoughts of twin stack life .
