For propper weight loss you need to find the HRC wheels. This is a huge 17" x 6.25" and only weighs 2.6kg!

Isn't 6.25" waaaaay too big to fit next to an NC30 chain?
i'm after feasible replacement options, with weight merely another factor for consideration along with ease of fitment, cost etc.
But yes, 2.6 is... light... like ...wow...

Yes 6.25" is way to big for the NC30 but they do make a 4.5" one as well. Now if the 6.25" only weighs 2.6kg can you imagine how little the 4.5" one is.

Right - just weighted the 17" rear wheel with tyre fitted and it is -
11.6 KG
The converted Hub with the 4 nuts fitted is
1.7 KG

I'll get the standard wheel weight once i start the conversion :D

Something I didn't realise before:

So according to this page, there are two different wheels found on the VFR750: 5" and 5.5"
It's the 5" one which fits (with a sprocket spacer), and the 5.5 is too wide, can anyone confirm please?
