Thought I would update, thanks neo, here was me swearing black and blue that i had cleared the air leak - the carb boot had a massive split, who knows why sprayin stuff near didn't pick it up! So rvf carb rubbers are in and are brilliant.

I forgot to check float heights. But will do this weekend as I have a set of rick Oliver needles and 120 jets to put in. I think you are right about the balance needing to be done as well, as it is still lumpy at idle when warm - perfect is after around 3-5min ride (it's winter) an the needle just off it's starting position. When it gets up to 80-90, the revs get lumpy and it can die at lights. Would that be also the idle mix? I set it at 2 1/4 turns, should I try 2 turns?

Also, I bought a set of ro road needles from someone on here, as rick didn't reply to my emails, how do i set them up? Ie do I put the .5mm washer on them? Or get another for 1mm? And then I can't see any difference between them, given stock needles are different between front and rear? Have attached photo below.

Thanks!!

Thats float heights / pilot screw settings.. its running rich so when warm its getting too much fuel and cutting out.

Get float heights done first and while your there back the screws into 2 turns out from fully in.

Excellent, that's what I was thinking :-) and the needles? Got them to help with that 5-6/7k flat spot? Do they need washers under them? And one or two?
