I was told ill need the engine number and ftame number but cant find them any clues

Fowlers website now claims that they can order the correct parts for your bike based purely on the registration number. It certainly was the case recently when I phoned them for some parts for the R1. It may be slightly trickier for grey imports though, so I suppose the frame number wouldn't be a bad idea.

All of the 3TJ bikes have the engine number 1WG stamped on them....and that's it! It will be on the crankcases above the clutch cover. The UK 4DX bikes have proper numbers (I'll look in the shed tomorrow).

Phil, I suppose Fowlers use the reg number to pull up the chassis number??? I know a lot of the Grey's don't always have a model filled out in the logbook - none of my 3 FZR's do. I think the insurance co's use the reg to get the model info when you ring for a quote. It's the first thing they always ask about the bike. I always keep schtum and wait for them to ask, just to see what records they have of the bikes.

By generic i mean is the same screw used on boats yzf's ect ?

No they are certainly not generic across models, and only Mikuni probably make them.

I have 2 sets of 3tj carbs.......... :whistle:
a std set and a set modded for a race exhaust and a bdk air box......£40 each +post
will want a clean out and air screw resetting
take your pick

Ive just got the parts from nrp carbs in manchester 4 float gaskets 3 pilot screw o rrings and a pilot screw and a pilot screw set for £41 inc p&p not bad wish id of read this befor lol
