OK could do with trying to find a standard 4DX unit ideally but if I can get the one on eBay reasonably cheap I'll give that a go until something else turns up. Also need to get a rear brake lever as mine has been snapped and rewelded which annoys me. Nice bike mate what series is it that you race in? I follow all the GP and superbike races etc but don't know much about club racing, wouldn't mind going to watch a few races if they're not to far away, Anglesey would probably be closest to me. That bike won the Unlimited cc. Pre injection class ( against any make/model that is not fuel injected ;any capacity) NEMCRC in 2011 in the hands of a talented local rider; Allan "Bud" Brookbanks.

The blue fits at the speedo head end of the cable and the gold is designed for the speedo drive end.
You will find on a 3TJ that there is insufficient space to fit the cheaper and more readily available blue converter ;thus requiring a gold unit to be fitted at the drive end.

Hi guys and girls just thought I'd keep you posted on the derestriction front I bought the race CDI off eBay, I'm pretty sure this should sort out the 112mph speed restriction as well as my 12500 rev limit. Need to sort it soon as my better half bought me a track day (bless her) for the 23rd at Oulton Park I'm a bit nervous and excited at the same time. Anyone got any advice for me or good tips? Bikes had a service 700 mile ago so not sure if I should change oil and filter! Need to get off now the missus is threatening to join the forum because apparently I'm always on here and then we would actually be able to have a conversation!!!

Cool - the CDI should plug straight in, although you need to take the tail plastics and mudgaurd off to fit it.

The trackday sounds good, just ride it like a quick road and try to be smooth. You have to have a one piece or a zip together two piece, a back protector is recomended. Don't forget both parts of your license.

Thanks Evil, yeah I've got two piece that zips 360 and a really good Knox back protector that I got cheap off the bay. Had some nice RST evo gloves for Christmas so all I need now is a new pair of boots the ones I have now are fooked! Might make an exhaust hanger in work tomorrow if I've got time so I can take off pillion foot pegs. Also need to sort out temp gauge does anyone knows the best place to get a sender from and are there other bikes senders the same?? Heard Fowlers are good.

Fowlers will supply a genuine Yam part, which might be expensive ... or not it just depends.

If you have a pillion seat it could be an MOT fail to take the pillion pegs off and for what they are I'd leave them on, thet're good for bungee cords.

I'd put them back on after the track day, mind you I'm not even insured to take a passenger and not sure i want to to be honest need a bit more experience yet and to see if the slight hooligan streak that sometimes rears its ugly head goes away!
