Velo is unusual in having gearbox sprocket outboard of the clutch, and belt driven dynamo.
Very rare Matchless G15CSR factory hybrid with Atlas 750 engine, Norton forks and brakes, only ever saw 3 when in full production.

Lovely bikes, I like a bit of photo whoring :)

The YB4, FZ750 engine with fuel injection. Only 200 made, most raced. Won the first WSB round held at Dono. For special occasions!

YB6, FZR1000 engine. Painted in the championship colours but not registered yet, or ridden it.

Image

YB7, most have seen this at the Bike Bruntingthorpe meeting, or Cosford. FZR400 engine. Low miles and rides beautifully. I try not to ride it too much, just to keep the mileage down.

Image

YB8, FZR1000 EXUP. Not registered or ridden this one yet. I imported this at the same time as the YB6, just before winter, can't wait for the spring to arrive. Will be used for longer runs, might take it to Spa for the Bikers Classic in July.

YB9, FZR600 engine and fitted as usual by Bimota with nice 'bits', brembo, etc I tend to use this quite a lot.

YB10, FZR1000 EXUP. Recently imported this and have actually ridden it!!

Then the FZR400 2TK, such a laugh to ride, with the close ratio box and 14.5k redline, it screams!! The long first gear makes it hard to get moving off the line, so not the best for town.

Then the little NC30, it seems to have become a bit of a workhorse. I tended to get it out if I'm just popping out somewhere. It's so easy to jump on and go.

I'll look into the shock and forks, also the air filter mod. Hopefully I can find a nice exhaust system for it aswell. I'm still tempted to buy a Chinese fairing set in Black, then paint it similar to the RVF earlier in the post

I'll get the wheels in for powder coating (they're not bad but will look loads better redone), probably some new discs and renovate the calipers, etc

Is that an eccentric cam adjuster ma-bob?

Great idea for a convential swingarm if so, I hated adjusting the chain on my old YBR, bloody wheel alignment.

Good stuff, a friend I used to ride with had DB1 ,DB2R? HB1, and Tuatara which was pretty quick, but his friend had 2 SB6Rs, one he wanted to tune to 160kg/160bhp.
He got pretty close before ending upside down in a ditch after cart wheeling down the road on an early Sunday morning run, so he abandoned the idea.

The bimotas are lovely, but I must admit its the 2tk that really does it for me, beautiful looking example. Looks great in the 400gb calender also.

Suspension certainly should be the priority. Rick O is your man when it comes to fork upgrade, it's also nice to raise the rear slightly, it really brings out the best in these bikes. I would also recommend lowering the gearing (fit a 14t front sprocket), but it sounds like you're used to long first gears on your other bikes.

I'm not a fan of air filter mods on road nc30's, more often than not it upsets the lovely linear drive that you get with the standard setup and is detrimental, but each to their own.

A lot of the earlier YB's (Yamaha engined Bimota's) have this arrangement on the back. It works well, but as you adjust the chain the ride height also changes. If you look at the picture of the YB4 and YB7 together you'll see the YB7 is correct and the YB4 is upside down. The YB9 has the more conventional arrangement.

There is a bit of confusion as to the colour scheme for the model. It's an earlier model, no upside down forks, with I think a later colour scheme. Then there was the Evo with fuel injection. I bought these as a pair and really like the scheme on the YB8, but fairly sure it's not the colour scheme it had when it left the factory.

Whatever it is your company does, can I come and work for you? It must be a gold mine to be able to get hold of an assortment of weaponry like that!

We're combustion engineers, glorified pipe fitters most the time :) My garage is full so I'm allowed to keep the bikes here for now. It's not ideal conditions but they are covered and stored out of the way. Also I have all the tools and machinery I need to do most things on the bikes. The forklift comes in handy for the cars and bikes. The sandblasting cabinet has also been converted to a bead blaster, how convenient ;)

How to remove a fairing from a YB Bimota -

I'm thinking of moving some of the bikes into storage but would miss them. I've also got a couple of cars in storage as there's no where to put them :( I can just turn up with the keys and drive them out but would love to have everything at my house.
