I haven't actually got any yet but I am definitely considering getting the stainless steel ones. The ones currently on mine are pretty much shot to pieces and theres only so much repair work you can do to them! I know theres a supplier on ebay at around £220.

Ok so I'm going to get the ss header pipes next week. I havent looked at the bolts in the head yet and im dreading as to what condition theyre going to be in! As i havent looked at them yet does any one know what they are? As in are they alan bolts, normal bolts/studs??? I imagine theyre going to be pretty rusty and releuctant to come out so a good old go on an impact driver will be a must i think. If anyone knows exactly what they are it would be great to know so i can order some more so they arrive and i can put the new ones in straight away.

They are Allen head bolts or they should be I can't remember what size if you ring robinsons suzuki they can get the originals no problem. If I was putting those headers on I would get some in stainless any way and the heads won't shag on you in 5 years time like the originals do.I've just taken my headers off my other 76a I cleaned the Allen heads out and never left one bit of shit in them and got my cordless drill driver on them using the clutch and rattling them for a while increasing the clutch setting each time then got the ratchet on them and they came out easy . Exhaust gaskets you can get from robinsons aswell

Ok so I got everything I need.

SS header pipes (£229.99) from:

Gaskets, new bolts to go into the head, metal clutch plates & new spring bolts (£90)from:
www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk

And the clutch friction plates and new springs from ebay (£60) also...

All pretty much a striaght forward job, lets just hope and pray that bolts DONT shear off in the head

Donk, when you did it i assume you had the rad off completely? Also did you get the front wheel off aswell? And when you say cordless drill are you on about a nut runner/impact gun? or literally a cordless drill with an alan key in it!?

Yea rad off but keep the front wheel in I used a cordless drill driver with a clutch just because I don't have a impact driver

Ok I'll give the cordless drill a go then mate. Did you put anything on the gaskets or just leave them as they were? Finally, did you torque the bolts back in, if so what to?

As they were mate . I just did them up tight but I didn't have a jap manual then . The manual is hard to understand but I'm sure they are torque to 18Nm first then 27Nm
