Can't tell you about the conversion on a '29 but on a '27 they literally slotted straight in. I couldn't believe it. All I had to do was skim about 5mm off the bottom of the lock mounting and the steering lock worked, steering stops were in the right positions too.

Get forks from a 96-97, and you can use your own wheel and discs also. Earlier forks are less adjustable, later forks use a 310mm disc and will cause you grief.

Team the whole lot with a SP1/2, 929/954, or 600RR3/4 complete brake setup and you're away!

Shopping list: 96-7 CBR forks, yokes (I prefer the look of 92-95 yokes though), axle and spacers, handlebars (98-99 are a tiny bit higher if you prefer), brakes full set. Your wheel, discs, switches, clutch, bar-ends, etc. will fit.

Hmmmm, 3-way adjustable forks and tasty 4-pot brakes? yes please!

This would do you nicely...

Does have lower clip-ons though, maybe racing ones or maybe off an SRAD which also had 45mm forks.
