just to prove it here it is,
the exhaust fits a bit better having used the tried and tested method of sticking a pole in it and standing on the pole whilst gently bouncing up and down whist simultaneously pushing on the bike so it doesn't topple over, and the tank cover fits, I've since pulled the carbs off and cleaned them, number 4 was green and cruddy the other 3 seemed OK but i cleaned them out anyway, so balancing them tomorrow and hopefully they should be good to go, I've kept the exup not sure if it will help or hinder but it works so I'll see if it helps with midrange.

right, having stripped the carbs down to their component forms I've got them cleaned and rebuilt and it runs nice, had a lot of white smoke but that cleared and she now idles nice around 1200rpm, haven't been able to balance the carbs but I'll do that as and when i can. so its now a case of fitting the air box on properly and fitting the bodywork then I'll take it for an mot and see how she does.

right as i dont need the 400 bits and bobs, does anyone want anything before it goes on ebay?
