I have just got some special liquid rubber from America to paint on to the manifolds that will cover any cracks and will set flexible ! Resistant to heat and chemicals when it sets which takes about 2 days. I have also ordered some amalgamating tape that you can wrap round the manafold. I have just had a quick look and underneath the rubber and it looks though someone has been before as there is some glue already on it!

I am sure I am loosing this battle and without another set I am totally stuck!
