I think parallel twins are brilliant, but they're not 'sexy' like v-twins, are they?

Marketing guff has a lot to answer for!

Anyone got a spare 500cc 2-smoke single kicking about? Or even 2 with a custom cranck and case, that would be a challenge.

I know a French guy put a RD500 engine in a 4DX

The RD500 lump is still heavy though, the 350 would be better-

The TRX lump may not be the best in the world but it's what I have and if I can get the TRX lump in the FZR and keep it to about 150KG it's going to be quite a bit better than what I'm using at the moment as it has the same power but weighs 175KG!!
On the note of 2 smokes I have heard tell of 2 CR500 barrels on a custom bottom end making a CR1000 V twin. I don't know any more that that but that has got to have been fun!!
I have weighed the TRX lump and it's about 75KG with carbs and oil.
If I could get what I wanted it would be a 1000cc parallel twin with a stacked box like the R1 / R6 nice and short light weight and plenty of punch!! But dreams don't power bikes....
....yet!!
