i use one of these on my bench grinder http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BENCH-GRINDER ... 35b105f523
and a stiff bristle brush type mop on the other side of the grinder for buffing works a treat

Re: Deviants nc30 strip and rebuild
well what a couple weeks , had to take custody of my boys as my ex has gone off the rails and lost the plot so the bike has taken a backseat , plus the coaters are running behind so cant pick my parts up till 13th , but have managed to do a few little jobs and ordered a pile of parts, (its all the little things that start to add up in cost from diddy parts nuts bolts seals and tools etc)
managed to get round to cleaning up more bits and recieved a few bits and bobs in the post.
cleaned up the dogbone and links , new needle rollers and seals a few coats of paint ready for the swinger to come back (didnt replace the bush as that seemed fine, home made draw bolt works a treat i might add )

and some spangly bits , i love the chainguard from hannakournikova thanks pal , that with the swingarm cover should look quite ace on the black arm just need a new pro-arm elf badge and the chain adjuster marks to finish it off

after looking at the mountain of crap in the corner of the shed there has to be an order of whats next to go on gets the treament of refurb/replace, so the pile will just have to sit there and as each part slowley goes back on the bike it will be cleaaned polished or replaced,

Re: Deviants nc30 strip and rebuild
the first batch of stuff back from the powder coaters today , i must admit the finish is fantastic im really happy with the results all parts were hot sprayed for a better tougher finish he said, whatever that means,
so all parts here blasted and coated for £100
contact az eddahar at azcoatmetalfinishing.co.uk if you live in the bath area and your lookin for stuff coating at a good price, he's a top bloke and actually seems to care about the work he does

Re: Deviants nc30 strip and rebuild
yeah man like the guard , has a slight fitting issue with it tho , the left hand mounts are spot on but the single right hand mount dont seem to connect to nothing , what did you do to yours at that point , knock a little bracket up or just leave it floating?

Re: Deviants nc30 strip and rebuild
post a piccy if you can bud ,
and me grinder has a 1 inch axle , when i got the wheel it came with 2 adapter types , 1" and 1.5" just popped the 1" plugs in each side side of the wheel so it fits snug on the axle and tighten up the nut ,
when i get home ill post a pic
