Its looking like that will be the option out of this, I know it will reduce the travel on the shock.
Curently i have the bottom all mounted correctly but the top is like 35mm- 40mm out and i cannot compress the spring no more.
I can get more photos of this if needed to show all.
Also if i do get a new spring, anyone know how to change them over?

I gave them an email, they asked me to let them know the "length" and "spring rate" needed
Also i cannot still work out why the damn thing wont fit if this mods been done a lot
EDIT: do you reckon the NC24's spring would fit on the 600 shock?

I've only ever seen it done once on this forum.
Might be more out there, but it certainly isn't a common mod!
Are you sure it was from the same year model 600rr as in the original post?

Item did when i purchased it say "04" in the title
Both this and the one in the mod guide has 6 coils on the spring.
the bottom looks identical as to size and this photo
If you see the angled link arm, that looks identical to how mine looked when i had the shock fitted with the exhaust off.
I have just noticed that my bottom screw is set all the way to Hard (gussing this is for the damper)

So you're doing this mod based on pictures from one chap, who you don't know for a fact ever finished it? Or that he ran it with a standard exhaust? Brave man!
The screw will be damping. I forget whether the bottom one is rebound or compression, but the other one of those will be on the top end of the shock somewhere.

Im doing it because:
A. I have little money to buy a Hagon shock at £300+
B. I have contacted a few refurbishers and they all said didnt want to touch my Shock to refurb it
C. The shock was cheap at £22 posted
D. I have the time on my hands to do any modifications needed, just need the occasional push in the right direction.
E. this mod and another member said its been done a few times.
If i can get it to work i can post all the modifications i had to do so future people can do it
If it all goes to pot and it fails. All i will have done is made the battery easier to access, the NC21 TDI unit easier to mount (i got a NC21 engine in the NC24 frame as it was a cheap engine i got hold of)

Hi all,
As i need a shock between 270 - 290ish mm long i have been googling these lenghts
Im guessing that this
http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/HL-869125/ will not work on my bike as its off a 125, also not adjustable either.
From googling i have found that a RVF750 shock is 290mm long.
Im very very very near the point of putting a Hagon shock onto my parents credit card and adding it to what i owe them for other things i have bought.
