how easy isit to cut perspex? im not to sure wots the best colour know? how easy isit to fix the perspex i gather u have to pop rivet the perspex to the fairing?
The fairing has a curve to it, so if you get a flat sheet you will have to contour it with a heat gun.

A band saw will cut it like butter - jigsaws work too, but tend to chip the edges slightly. Polish the edges carefully on a hard polishing mop (bench grinder) to give a nice finish, or sand it and finish on 1200 grit wet. A heat gun will do the job for bending, but otherwise just use an oven set to low and then cool in cold water to keep the shape.

The stuff i used wasnt actually perspex, the name of it escapes me at the moment but i found the stuff whilst browsing through a site called speedzilla which im think is mainly american. There were a few guys on there making endurance nose cones for different bikes and they were all using this stuff for lenses. It comes in different thicknesses and i got the 1mm stuff which can be cut using decent scissors. I'll see if i can find it for you but if you do find a supplier of acid green perspex that doesnt want £300 for a massize sheet of it let me know

Very nice find!
You can also cut up those fluoro perspex clipboards that you can buy cheaply at office supply shops and come in 4 or 5 different colours
