You would pay 200 quid just for a decent engine on a pallet and you sold a whole bike for 250. lol.

I have sold it to a friend, running lovely, MOT'd etc.....for £250

£500 is absolutely top bucks for the bieks IMO.

If you had one clean enough to eat off and it had 12 months tax, MOT and new tryes, chain and pads etc etc...then I would still baulk at paying £650-700 for it.
+1 agree.

You might pay £250 on a pallet from an over-priced dealer.. theres been a few on ebay for ages now (as in 12 months +)

I picked up an engine from ebay for £19.99 no bids :D Did cost me another £30.00 for pallet delivery but it's a great engine!

Was going to build a V4 go-cart but since the engine was so good i've kept it as a spare :)

The bikes just don't fetch anything, regardless of what you've done.. which is why a few people end up keeping them (or like christoph cutting your losses) and loosing a load when its sold.

I'm giving my tattier rothmans to my uncle for free as he has the space and i'd never get back what i've spent on it so would rather it goto a good home as I need the space for the next one ;) ZXR250

unfortunately dude..it is the way it is.

The NC24 is a great little motor. my mate is chuffed to bits with it He has had Bandits, SV650, FZR600, NC30 and now an NC24 - backwards in some ways..but he really likes it and for £250 at mates rates we had a deal.

If I sold it on eBay I would have expected between 4 and 500 quid - all sorted, nice Rothmans too..
