Iv read a few places that doing this can sometimes cause the beam to be out of alignment. True?Neosophist wrote:Snip the two lower tabs off a H4 bulbs and put a nail across the back of it to hold it in place

It can do if you dont mount the bulbs straight. It's always best to check.RobTriskele wrote:Iv read a few places that doing this can sometimes cause the beam to be out of alignment. True?Neosophist wrote:Snip the two lower tabs off a H4 bulbs and put a nail across the back of it to hold it in place
If you follow the link I posted on the previous page you'll find a link on how to mod the headlight mountint itself to take a H4.. no problems then.
And I've used nightbreakers in the cars and bikes.. philips xtreme are just better :-)

Re: jap spec bulbs
cheers for postin that up neo, i dont really have a prob with my lights, low beam could be a bit better in the wet , fine when the roads are dry gives plenty of light , and high beam is good , but will do the mod if and when the bulbs fail and need replacing, never been too clued up on the lecky side of the bike and talk of choppin this and that is always confusing without pictures , i need pictures piccys are good
