All red like mine I see, lol.well it would have been but for my tank leaking after i got it painted so i had to get a different one, Although mine is'nt in the lucky strike theme. But damm that looks well mate.

Get some alloy side panel pins turned up as plastic is too soft and will get chewed up in no time.

Cheers for that - I will get some pins turned up, but I will still try to get some plastic pins as I think they will probably be kinder to the paintwork.

I haven't been able to find any side panel securing pins and I may have to turn a couple in aluminium but I would prefer to use the original plastic ones. Does anyone know where I could get some from or whether pins from other models will fit.
The original Plastic Ones are still available.
I ordedered one for my bike recently.
I don't find they get chewed up (mine never have) but make sure you use something that fits in the slot properly (a 2p coin works perfect)
You want the part numbers?
Theres 3 parts you need.

I've got all of the parts except the plastic pins. I've phoned or tried the online order/availability facilities at the obvious places and thought that they were unavailable. Can you tell me where you've ordered them from? Cheers, Alan

Cheers, I'm pleased with how its turning out.
I'm not sure about biker meets, most weekends I'm at a motorsport event. However although not South Yorkshire, Matlock always seems popular. On the odd occasion I've been, its been packed.

Can't wait but I'm getting nervous. I bought it as a wreck and had it fired up only very briefly when I viewed it. Since then its spent the last 10 months or so spread out over my garage. I should be in a position in to fire it up next weekend and if all is ok it will go for its MOT.

They've been discontinued for a while but i've ordered some within the last couple of years. Here are some David Silver Links.. Spring you can't even order but you can order the rest.. (springs easy to make)
However, I made the last one myself (turned it down out of a black screwdriver handle) but I think thats becuase I wasn't going to pay £5.00 for all the parts when I had them laying around.
The 'pin' thing consists of 4 parts sorry not 3, you'll need them all.
1. Plastic Pin itself (83703-ML0-720)
2. Spring (17516-383-670)
3. Washer (94101-10000)
4. Cotter Pin (94305-20183)
Those are the proper part numbers.. have you tried davidsilvers and lings honda?.
If the worst comes to the worst I can measure up / take you lots of photos of one so you can make / have made your own :-)

Thanks for the links - funny I could swear that when I checked David Silvers site it said that the pins were no longer available, but now it says special order... I'll ring them tomorrow. Got the springs, washers and cotter pins tho.

I bought two of all those, Neo gave me the part Nos too

, about 10 months ago, Lings had them in stock, they were cheaper than David Silvers too, who only had them on special order.
Try Lings

Phoned around and they are now discontinued. However Lings managed to order me two and they should be with me in a couple of days - I don't think there are many left now.
