Thanks guys! The more I "swim" in the ocean...the further I dive into the black hole with this project Slowly taking decisions. Now just need some better weather outside and finish my garden first. Currently it is an mudpoole with showers all day long

If I am correct then these rads fit with standard/race NC35 fairings without trim needed. And also it does not need the fan on. Compared to standard ones it has an increased cooling capacity and also the way the fluids should float inside from the top insert into the bottom exit is improved due to the longer travel (the way it travels now makes much more sense). I also compared these with the genuine HRC ones when in Germany. I am convinced it improves the cooling.
It does look very on Michaels bike.

The K7 rotor and stator is near ready to be fitted on the bike. Just need to get the cover from RO. Although these are light already with more than enough weight savings...I had this one put in my hands, just for the feel...oh blimey this is unbelievable light!!

Yes, Durbahn favours lightness..

These race rads are priced just over the top + bottom rads together of Ricks. I had the options in between them, but these race rads have a different routing of the fluids compared to the others including genuine and HRC ones.

Did a research a couple of years ago, when Thorsten did not have the nc alternator(just the RC30 one), and found out he uses a ducati race alternator(slim). Well you know how things go... you can buy a race alternator from ducati$$$, or else, with some more research, find out it is the same one used for the vintage ducati 750 bevelhead, and ready available from electrex world new. The expensive part is getting the stator housing made. So once again, some more hours of research and found a moto guzzi housing that will do the job with slight machining. And you also need a single phase RecReg. In the end it might be under 350GBP for a Durbahn alike alternator.
I never got round to making it, and right now I am trying to decide which one to go for. I do really like RO parts( and of course RO himself), but am a little concerned about the cover, in case of a spill... and for Thorstens price there is one other, even lighter and smaller ready to fit... But that is quite a lot of money anyway. Time will tell.

Yoshimura also do a inner rotor/genny kit for the K5/8 gsxr1000.
