i would say that your pads are dragging on you disk,does the wheel spin freely when the bike is your paddock stand,no resistance at all .They only need too touch the disk slightly and it generates a lot of heat,which is why you are suffering with brake fade, its boiling your fluid which you must replace, ! ebc hh pads are ok, better with friction performance tho, some times on a after market lever it can be pushing the m/cyl piston in before you have even touched the brake,worth a check ! or are you going that fast that g-force is pushing the brake on i have brembo M/cyl +brembo callipers off a ducati on my race bike, not much will out brake it

Well with regards to the dragging bit i thought they was and they are definitely not dragging now as i have been checking and checking to make 100% sure that's not the problem, and performance friction i know someone that had an rrsp and ran ebc pro-lites with performance friction and a brembo master cylinder with std calipers and supposedly that was good, but do you have any idea what grade of performance friction pad it would have been ? and i have got a standard master cylinder may get a brembo but need to start saving by not trying out more brake pads and disks than they can make and i am sure it can't be the bikes going that fast because i haven't fitted the jet engine jet cant manage to hide it discreetly enough and do you have the radial brembo master cylinder and what sort of brembo ducati calipers do you use and did you have to make plates up to fit them ? and what sorta brake disks have you got because i have got the new pro-lites which are stainless steel and the older pro-lites are cast.

My master cylinder is 19x20 abnd the bike stops hard ... I aslo use 5.1 fluid but just the Comma cheap stuff (£10 litre).

ive been using the normal stuff but changing it regular due to the reason it keeps getting hot and im based in wallsall where about are you from ?

Are you pushing the pads/pistons back into the caliper without taking the reservoir cap off? That can build up pressure once the brakes get warm- the brakes start to drag which builds more heat, everything expands, which causes the brakes to drag more...

No but i didn't know that and that's some very useful info when i do have to change the wheels

Spoke to ebc brakes direct today and they was about as much use as a chocolate fire guard they could tell me absolutely nothing about the problem just the normal to check the rivets in the disk and send the disks back so they can have a look at them so i emailed them the pictures i have posted above

Sorry for being really cheeky, but how much do you weigh topgun?

I'm sure that isnt what the problem is but i think someone needed to ask!
